amaroK is now Amarok - Amarok Blog
Mark Kretschmann writes about the results of the recent K3M multimedia meeting in the Netherlands; among the changes is that "amaroK" is now simply "Amarok" (capital A rather than K, for anyone listening to rather than reading this). The reasons given are the continual misspellings (particularly when the name starts a sentence) which "hurt name branding", and the capital K implying that the app is KDE-specific, when it "is intended to be a software for all desktops". The comments at Mr Kretschmann's blog at the moment all approve of the change.
