PC-BSD v8.2 released

p>Version 8.2 of PC-BSD, a desktop PC-oriented repackaging of FreeBSD, has been released. This is based on FreeBSD v8.2 and uses KDE 4.5.5, and has improvements to partitioning and network management (changelog here with requirements and package lists here). Downloads (install DVDs or USB key images, apparently no live CDs) here.

PyQt installers for Python v3.2 available

Riverbank Computing has announced that Windows installers for PyQt for Python 3.2 (32- and 64-bit versions) have been made available. They are available here (first two in the list).

CMake v2.8.4 released

Version 2.8.4 of CMake, the cross-platform build tool used by KDE and a number of Qt-based projects, has been released. The announcement (and change log) is here. Downloads (source, Windows and Mac installers, zipped binaries for various Unix platforms) here.

Camp KDE 2011 Announced

Camp KDE has been announced for 4th and 5th April at the Hotel Kabuki in San Francisco, CA. It is to be co-located with the Linux Foundation Collaboration Summit. Proposals for talks are open until 2nd March; full details on the conference website.
